This is my first 11-string guitar and the first instrument I have finished in my new place. And it is certainly one of the finest instruments I have ever made. Hearing its sound almost brought tears to my eyes, because the quality of its timbre is more beautiful than I had dared to hope.
Building this guitar has been a great challenge, as the customer who commissioned it did not want a longer VSL (vibrating string length) for the basses, i.e., an extension of the fingerboard like on an archlute. To build a "normal" guitar with such a frequency range, which works from the highest trebles to the lowest bass notes seems almost impossible. I will not go into all the details of the construction that helped towards this aim, but the most important was certainly the further improved version of Enhanced Wood soundboard I gave it. Sound samples of this guitar can be found on my SOUND page.
